MoI rejects reports its website hacked

 KUWAIT CITY, March 26: Two Egyptian laborers escaped unhurt when a scaffold, on which they were standing to clean the windows on the 28th floor of a tower in Al-Zour Street, slipped out of balance. When the Control Room of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate received information about the incident, firefighters rushed to the location and pulled the scaffold using ropes safely to the 26th floor without injuring the Egyptian laborers. Meanwhile, firefighters rescued an Egyptian expatriate who fell into a manhole in Wafra stables. He did not sustain any injuries.

MoI rejects report: Security Media Department in the Ministry of Interior refuted news item published by some electronic newspapers and social media networks alleging the Interior Ministry’s website was hacked. An Interior Ministry press release said Ministry of Interior’s website is operating as usual, and information about its hacking is untrue. The statement called upon the communication media to scrutinize news item and the authenticity of its sources and make sure it’s accurate before publishing, especially when it’s related to security, so as to avoid unnecessary public anxiety. The department added that Cyber Crime Unit affiliated to the General Criminal Investigation Department is currently working to determine the source of the rumor and those behind it.
