Bangladeshi held as police find drug pills hidden in shoes

KUWAIT CITY, March 23: Customs officers at Kuwait Airport foiled an attempt by one Bangladeshi man to smuggle 10,000 narcotic pills to the country. The suspect had carefully hidden the contraband inside his shoes. Security sources said airport custom officials suspected the man upon arrival from his home country and conducted a search on him. It was then they found 10,000 narcotic pills wrapped in plastic bags kept hidden in shoes. The suspect with the items was referred to the concerned authority.

Drugs seized from motorist: An unidentified motorist was arrested in Hawally area in possession of hashish, illicit drugs and a knife, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. According to security sources, Hawally securitymen were patrolling the area when they ordered the motorist to pull over after noticing that he had violated traffic regulations. When they asked him for his Civil ID, they realized that he was in a disoriented state. They searched his vehicle and found a concealed pack of hashish, narcotic pills and a knife. He was referred with the illicit items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
