Bangladeshi held with drugs

KUWAIT CITY, March 21:   A Bangladeshi man has been arrested for possessing 100 grams of heroin and pushing drugs into the Central Prison with the help of an inmate, reports Al-Anba daily. The suspect and the contraband have been referred to the concerned authorities.

‘Killer’ arrested: The Farwaniya police have arrested a former criminal who had been sentenced in absentia for stabbing and killing a Kuwaiti man, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. The wanted man was arrested when he was trapped in a traffic jam. Eyewitness reports said the suspect attempted to escape from police by running on foot. He has been handed over to the concerned authorities for further interrogation. However, he has allegedly admitted to his crime.

Boy stabbed in fight: A juvenile who was stabbed during a bloody fight with another juvenile in Ishbiliya has been admitted to the intensive care unit of the Farwaniya Hospital, reports Al-Shahed daily. The daily added, as soon as the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior received information, paramedics rushed to the spot and took the victim to the hospital. Without going into details the daily said police have detained the suspect for interrogation. The incident happened near a cooperative society in Ishbiliya.
