Duo wanted in fraud, criminal cases held with drugs Asian drug trafficker arrested

KUWAIT CITY, March 21: Two youths who were wanted by law for financial fraud and criminal cases were arrested in possession of various types of drugs, a knife and tools used for consuming drugs. According to security sources, Hawally securitymen, based on instructions from Hawally Security Director Brigadier Gholoum Habib, arrested the two youths and checked their details to discover they were wanted by law for cases of financial frauds and crimes.

When securitymen checked their vehicle, they found three pieces of hashish, 61 ‘Kapti’ narcotic pills, three ‘Tremadol’ narcotic pills, 65 sachets of ‘Shabu’ drug, one sachet of cocaine, a knife and tools used for consuming drugs. The suspects tried to resist arrest but securitymen managed to control them. They were referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them. Meanwhile, Hawally securitymen arrested a youth in possession of narcotic pills, tools used for consuming drugs and a bottle of liquor in Salmiya area. He was referred to the concerned authorities for further investigations and legal procedures.

Drug peddler held: An Asian expatriate was arrested for drug peddling and possessing drugs. According to security sources, when the Directorate General for Drug Control (DGDC) received information about an Asian expatriate involved in drug peddling, a team was formed for investigations based on instructions from the Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs Major General Abdulhameed Al-Awadi and Director General of DGDC Brigadier Saleh Al-Ghannam. After collecting necessary information that confirmed the tip-off, they obtained a warrant and then arrested the suspect in his apartment. They checked his room and found 20,000 narcotic pills and 30 grams of ‘Shabu’ drug. During interrogations, the suspect confessed that the drugs belonged to him, which he was planning to sell to his clients. He was referred with the drugs to the concerned authorities for further investigations
