Pay KD 4,000 or continue flirting, youth tells woman

KUWAIT CITY, March 16: A young Kuwaiti woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a complaint with the police accusing an unidentified compatriot youth of threatening to post her pictures on the social networking website because she refused to pay him KD 4,000, reports Al-Anba daily. In her complaint the woman said she the youth befriended her and promised to marry her. They continued their friendship for about one year and when the woman discovered he was just fooling around and was not serious about marriage, she broke off with him. Following this the youth got annoyed and gave her two options - either to continue flirting with him or pay him KD 4,000.

Women in fight: Two unidentified young women who were involved in a brawl inside a café in Salmiya were taken to the area police station for interrogation, reports Al-Anba daily. According to security sources police received a call from the owner of the café and police rushed to the spot and accompanied them to a police station. At the police station the cause of the fight appeared to be jealousy over the boyfriend of one of them. Meanwhile, a 33-year old Nepalese woman sustained injuries and bruises on her head and left hand during a public fight on Habib Al-Munawer Street in Farwaniya area, reports Al- Watan Arabic daily. Paramedics rushed to the location and treated the victim at the site after which she went to the nearest police station to report the incident.

Woman says molested: A 30-year-old Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the police accusing an Arab laborer of molesting and assaulting her, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily did not say where or when the incident took place. Police are investigating. Meanwhile, an unidentified drunkard, who was wanted by law in connection with 16 offences, has been arrested by the police, reports Al-Rai daily. The arrest came when the suspect insulted a police officer on duty for reprimanding him for reckless driving.
