Nine caught, 28 cars seized, 265 citations issued in raid 7 hurt in mishaps

KUWAIT CITY, March 14: Farwaniya traffic officers seized 28 vehicles, issued 145 direct and 120 indirect violations and arrested nine individuals during intensive traffic campaigns in Farwaniya and Hasawi areas. According to sources, Farwaniya traffic officers seized 16 vehicles and arrested eight individuals during a traffic campaign in Hasawi area. They also seized 12 vehicles, issued 145 direct and 120 indirect violations and arrested one individual during a traffic campaign in Farwaniya area. Sources indicated that such traffic campaigns will continue in all areas based on instructions from the Assistant Undersecretary of Traffic Affairs at Ministry of Interior Major General Abdul Fattah Al-Ali.

7 hurt in mishaps: Seven individuals including three Kuwaiti citizens sustained injuries due to traffic accidents that occurred throughout the country in last few hours. In detail, a Kuwaiti citizen sustained injuries and bruises throughout his body when his vehicle toppled on Jahra Road. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the accident, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location. They pulled out the trapped victim from his vehicle and checked his details to discover he is a Kuwaiti citizen. Paramedics referred him to Jahra Hospital for treatment while securitymen started investigations to know the cause of the accident. Meanwhile, two Kuwaiti citizens sustained injuries when two vehicles collided on Sixth Ring Road near Saad Al- Abdullah area. Paramedics referred the injured victims to the nearest hospital while securitymen took necessary action. In addition, four unidentified individuals were referred to Farwaniya Hospital for treatment following a bus accident
