Police detain Kuwaiti duo for carrying drugs, weapon Indian expat held with liquor

KUWAIT CITY, March 14: A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested in Hawally area in possession of drugs and a loaded weapon. According to security sources, Hawally securitymen were patrolling the area when they noticed a vehicle being driven in a reckless manner. They ordered the motorist to stop but he ignored the orders and sped away. Securitymen chased them while circulating the details of the vehicle to other patrol teams. After a long chase, they eventually managed to stop the vehicle and checked the Civil ID of the motorist to realize he is a Kuwaiti citizen.

They checked his vehicle and found drugs and a loaded pistol. He was arrested and referred with the drugs and weapon to the Directorate General for Drug Control for necessary legal action against him. Meanwhile, another Kuwaiti citizen was arrested in possession of 2 kilograms of ‘Ice’ drug, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to security sources, when the Directorate General for Drug Control received information about a Kuwaiti citizen involved in drug peddling, a team was formed for investigations. After confirming the information and obtaining a warrant, the officers arrested the suspect and searched his vehicle to find two kilograms of ‘Ice’ drug hidden in the vehicle. When questioned, he confessed that he was planning to sell the drugs. He was referred to the concerned authorities for further investigations and legal action against him.

  Indian nabbed: An Indian expatriate was arrested in possession of 20 bottles of locally brewed liquor. According to security sources, Jahra securitymen were patrolling the area based on instructions from the Jahra Security Director Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah when they noticed the suspect standing next to a vehicle in a lot. When he noticed the officers approaching him, he threw some bottles from his vehicle and tried to flee. However, securitymen managed to stop him and checked the bottles to realize that it contained liquor. When questioned, he confessed that he was intending to sell the bottles of locally brewed liquor.
