Citizen held with drugs, gun Police seize 750 gms of ‘Ice,’ 300 drug pills

KUWAIT CITY, March 5: Police have arrested a young Kuwaiti man for possessing drugs and unlicensed gun, reports Alam Alyawm daily. A security source said a police patrol on duty in the Jahra Industrial Area stopped the suspect for driving against the traffic flow. While issuing a citation police discovered the man was under the influence of drugs and did not carry either the driving license nor the car registration. Police also discovered the man was wanted by law in connection with a KD 2,500 financial fraud and after checking his vehicle police found 380 narcotic pills, 250 grams of shabu, 7 fingers of hashish, two small knives and KD 333. Police also seized half filled bottle of whisky and an air gun and a pistol. The daily added, the suspect threatened to shoot police but he was overpowered and arrested. The contraband and the suspect have been referred to the concerned authority. Meanwhile, securitymen from the Drugs Control Department have arrested an Egyptian man for trafficking in drugs and narcotic pills, reports Alam Alyawm daily.


A security source said the detectives acting on information set a trap for the man and caught him red-handed during a buy-bust operation. Police have seized from the man 750 grams of ‘ice’ and 300 Tramadol pills. Also, a Bedoun man was arrested in Taima area in possession of narcotic pills and tools used for performing black magic. According to security sources, when securitymen received information about an individual behaving in a strange manner in Block 6 of Taima area, a patrol team was sent for investigations and they managed to arrest the suspect after finding him in a disoriented state. They checked him to find the narcotic pills and tools for performing black magic. He was referred with the items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
