13-year-old Bedoun freed on bail Court dismisses ‘decision’ of Justice Ministry undersecretary

KUWAIT CITY, March 4: The Administrative Court presided over by Judge Ahmad Al-Daihan has dismissed the decision of the Undersecretary of Ministry of Justice to give ‘Very Good’ after evaluating the competence of the Director of Cassation Court Jamal Al-Ojairi in 2012. The court ordered the ministry to pay the legal fees as well as KD 200.
According to the court files, Al-Ojairi sued the ministry, demanding it to cancel the 2012 evaluation and its effects. He stressed that he should be awarded ‘Excellent’ with associated bonus as well as the payment of the legal fees. The court agreed that awarding the evaluation grades must be based on objective factors for achieving the desired goal.
13-year-old freed on bail: The Juvenile Public Prosecution released a 13-year-old Bedoun, identified as Ali Al-Habib, on KD 200 bail after listening to the statements of the officers in charge of the case. Case files indicate the teenager was arrested for participating in the recent Bedoun demonstrations.  Sources revealed he cried in front of the prosecutor, saying he was not aware of the purpose of the demonstration.
