African women arrested for practicing prostitution 17-yr-old Kuwaiti chokes to death on apple

KUWAIT CITY, March 3:  The Hawalli police have arrested a number of African women for practicing prostitution, reports Al-Shahed daily. According to security sources the arrested came when three youths were caught with three women in a car. Further investigations revealed the women were regular visitors to an unidentified restaurant in Hawalli and from there persons seeking flesh pleasure used to pick them up. During interrogation police have learned each woman made about KD 50 for one-time pleasure.
Police nab Bedoun: Police have arrested a bedoun for practicing magic and consuming drugs, reports Al-Shahed daily. When someone informed police that a person was disoriented in Jahra, securitymen rushed to the spot but on seeing the police he tried to flee from the scene. Police then caught him and referred him with the contraband to the concerned authorities.
Burglar steals valuables: Police are looking for an unidentified burglar for breaking into the home of a Kuwaiti man in Jabriya and stealing diamonds and valuables worth KD 2,000, reports al-Shahed daily. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.
Suspects target money exchange: Police are looking for three unidentified persons for attempting to break into a money exchange office in Al-Riqqa, reports Al-Rai daily. A security source said suspects escaped on foot leaving their car behind when they saw patrolmen in the area. When police went near the exchange they saw part of the door cut in half with a gas cutter. Police also found the car was registered in the name of a Kuwaiti woman living in Jahra and she had reported it stolen some time ago.
Citizen steals bus: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti who is believed to be in his 30s for stealing a bus from a Somali man, threatening police with a pistol and consuming alcohol, reports Annahar daily. The arrest came when personnel from the Special Task Force on routine duty in Ahmadi saw the Somali seeking help. Police searched the area and saw the thief driving the bus in the area and ordered him to pull over. The man ignored police orders and continued driving and deliberately collided with the police vehicle. The man then was chased by the police and the 30-minute chase ended up in Sabahiya. The thief, who is a former convict, appeared high on alcohol. He allegedly got down from the vehicle and pulled out a pistol. However, he was wrestled to the ground and taken to a police station.
Citizen chokes to death: A 17-year-old Kuwaiti suffocated to death after chocking on a piece of apple, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. The incident happened inside his house in Jahra. He was rushed to the intensive care unit of Jahra where doctors failed to save his life.
