2 Africans targeting ATM, bank visitors admit stealing KD 200K Police arrest Egyptian for duping 15 citizens of KD 80,000

 KUWAIT CITY, March 2: The Capital governorate police have succeeded in arresting two Ethiopians who preyed on persons who visit the banks and ATM machines and then broke into their vehicles and stole the money, reports Al-Rai daily. When police received complaints from several people they doubled their efforts and arrested the thieves. The daily added the thieves were picked from their homes in Mahboula.

Acting on information and armed with a search and arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecution, securitymen raided the house of the two thieves and referred them to the authorities. During interrogation they are said to have admitted to committing several crimes and stolen about KD 200,000 from their victims.
15 duped of KD 80,000: The Salhiya police have arrested an Egyptian man for duping 15 Kuwaitis after promising to help them get bank loans in return for money (to be paid in advance) and then disappearing with the money, reports Al-Rai daily.
Acting on information police set a trap for the man and caught him outside his home in Khaitan. According to reliable sources the man had cheated his victims to the tune of KD 80,000.
He was picked by the victims from a police lineup.
KD 13,000 stolen from ‘club’: Police are looking for five people for breaking into a health club in Salmiya, assaulting Filipino employees and stealing KD 13,000 cash and three cell phones, reports al-Shahed daily.
Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits. 
3 arrested for drugs: The Southern Highway police have arrested three young people - two men and a woman — for consuming alcohol and possessing drugs, reports Al-Rai daily.
The suspects were riding in a car and the man behind the wheel was ordered to pull over for reckless driving.
Police have seized from the suspects two bottles of whisky and drugs and referred them to the General Department for Drugs Control.
Gun, ammo seized: The Jahra police have arrested a GCC citizen for possessing an unlicensed gun and ammunition, reports Al-Rai daily.
A security source said patrolmen suspected the GCC citizen when he appeared confused when police approached him.
Police then searched his car and found the gun and three magazines loaded with bullets.
The GCC national has been referred to the Criminal Investigation Depart-ment.
Forged army ID seized: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti man who is believed to be in his 30s, for possessing drugs and forged military ID, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The man was arrested while driving in Jahra. Police have also seized from KD 1,500 cash and referred him to the authorities.
