Carry Civil IDs, documents to avoid arrest

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 24: Officers from Immigration Security Department arrested 97 expatriates during surprise campaigns that they launched in Sulaibiya area in Jahra Governorate, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The Director General of Immigration Security Department Brigadier Ghazi Al-Mae said the Assistant Undersecretary for Citizenship and Passports Major General Sheikh Faisal Al-Nawaf expressed keenness in launching such campaigns for the security of the society.

He affirmed that such campaigns achieve the aim of arresting violators of law and regulations of the country.

Meanwhile, the Media Security Department of Ministry of Interior urged Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates to carry their personal identification documents such as Civil IDs, drivers’ licenses, vehicle registration books and other such documents to avoid being arrested.

It also urged the public to cooperate with securitymen in fulfilling their duties for maintaining the security of the country
