Young Kuwaiti takes large dose of medicine in suicide bid Dollars, dinars stolen in burglary

 KUWAIT CITY, Feb 23: A24-year-old Kuwaiti man tried to commit suicide by taking a large quantity of an undisclosed medicine in front of a bakery in Sulaibiya. Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location after the Operations Room in the Ministry of Interior received a call from the Kuwaiti’s father. He was taken to Farwaniya Hospital where he is now confined at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). A case was registered and the security officers are now waiting for the man’s condition to improve to interrogate him in order to determine the actual reason behind his suicide attempt.

Home burglarized: A Kuwaiti man lodged a complaint against an unknown person he accused of stealing cash amounting to $15,000 and KD15,000 from his family’s house in Bayan. The Kuwaiti called the Operations Room at the Ministry of Interior after discovering that the thief broke the lock of the door in his grandmother’s room; carting away the abovementioned amounts and some electrical appliances. Securitymen were then dispatched to the house where they discovered the thief broke a window to enter the house. A team from the Criminal Evidence Department was also present and they lifted fingerprints to identify the suspect. A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to arrest the culprit.

Guard beaten in theft: An Egyptian guard sustained injuries in different parts of his body after four individuals took turns in beating him and stole valuable items from a camp site in Nuwaiseeb where the victim was staioned. The guard told police the suspects approached him and he was surprised when they started beating him. They then took five buggies and KD 90. A case was registered and police are now looking for the thieves.
