Kuwait breaks international record in modified cars

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 21: Kuwait broke an international record in the number of modified cars during an event organized by Kuwait Sporting Club for Cars and Motorbikes yesterday noon at the parking lanes of Jaber Al-Ahmad Stadium.

Amateurs used about 150 vehicles to perform stunts during the event, which was attended by the Minister of Information and State Minister for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Al-Humoud, Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs Abdul Fattah Al-Ali and a large number of spectators.

Meanwhile earlier on Thursday, Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah has affirmed state institutions’ keenness to sponsor talents of youth and advance them at all levels in line with directions of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Kuwait, represented by the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL), hosts all youthful talents that have unique artistic materials, Sheikh Salman, who is also the Minister of Information, told reporters on the sideline of attending a musical ceremony on occasion of National Day celebrations on Wednesday.

Sheikh Salman also added that NCCAL organizes this year a major collection of cultural, artistic, and literary activities for the National Day celebrations, which displays the civilized and cultural image of Kuwait through supporting the Kuwaiti youth’s efforts in various domains. In addition, he indicated that NCCAL’s role is to discover and support these talents, which will contribute in hoisting Kuwait’s name high in regional and international arenas.
