Visas forged by gang of Asians

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 20: Head of the Doha Citizens Service Center Lt Colonel Nasser Al-Ibrahim and Manager of the Centre Abdullah Al-Fadhli, have prepared a report which will be submitted to the Immigration Security Department on a gang of Asians who have forged visas using fake seals and signatures, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added, the forgery was discovered when a Kuwaiti filed a complaint with the Head of the Center that a person whom he does not even known was under his sponsorship. The center then checked several applications at random and discovered many visas had been issued on the strength of forged documents and stamps.

Liquor peddlers held: Two persons have been arrested by the police - a bedoun and a citizen - for trading in booze, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. Police have also seized from them KD 1,120 and 3,000 Saudi riyals and referred them to the concerned authorities. The bootleggers were caught by securitymen during routine patrolling. Meanwhile, an unidentified Kuwaiti who was caught in possession of 17 drug pills has been referred to the General Department for Drugs Control, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
