About 92 absconders, illegal persons nabbed in Jleeb raid

 KUWAIT CITY, Feb 19: A Pakistani died when the chain of an asphalt machine got tangled around his neck while he was operating the machine along Khabari Al- Awazem Motorway. Securitymen and medical emergency workers rushed to the location after the Operations Room at the Ministry of Interior received information on the incident. Initial investigations revealed the Pakitani worked for a company tasked to carry out the road development project.

He was operating the asphalt machine when the chain got tangled around his neck, separating his head from the body. This led to his instantaneous death. His remains were then referred to Forensics. A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to determine actual circumstances leading to the tragic incident.

92 nabbed: Some 92 individuals were arrested in Dajeej for violating residency law and absconding from their sponsors in a recent security campaign led by the Assistant Undersecretary for Passports Major General Sheikh Faisal Al-Nawaf, reports Al- Seyassah daily. The campaign is part of efforts to end the negative phenomenon and rid the society of crime to strengthen security.

Sources said the Immigration Security has achieved successes from the time when the ‘clampdown’ on residency violators and wanted persons was launched. The sector appeals to citizens and expatriates to carry necessary documents for identification, citing civil ID cards, driving license or vehicle registration book.
