Police hunt for thieves in Jleeb theft of 10 kilos gold

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 11:Police are conducting intensive investigations to arrest burglars who broke into a jewelry shop in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and escaped with 10 kilos of gold worth KD 55,000, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added the thieves gained access to the shop by cutting the door with a welding machine. Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department have lifted fingerprints to arrest the thieves.

Jeweler robbed: Police are looking for an unidentified person in military uniform for stealing bag from the car of an Indian jeweler in Jahra, reports Al-Rai daily. The jeweler has filed a complaint with the Jahra Police Station. In his complaint the man said he was stopped by a policeman and the latter demanded to see his driving licence and car registration. The complainant added the policeman then searched the car and drove off with a bag containing 698 grams of gold worth KD 8,000. When the man provided police the car plate number it turned out the man was driving a car reported stolen by its owner.

KD 23,000 stolen: Police are looking for two Arabs for robbing KD 23,000 from a compatriot, reports Al-Anba daily. A security source said the victim reported the incident to the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry. When the police reached his home they found his hands and feet were tied and he was inside his apartment in Jleeb Al- Shuyoukh.
