Fake military man robs Indian jeweller

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 9: An Indian jeweler filed a complaint at Jahra Police Station against an unidentified man, who was clad in military uniform, he accused of stealing several pieces of jewelry valued at KD8,000. According to the complainant, he was driving along Jahra when the suspect stopped him for inspection. Thinking the man is a military officer, he presented his identification documents and car registration book when the latter demanded for them. The suspect proceeded to inspect the vehicle, during which he took the jewelry and ran away. It is only then that the Indian realized the suspect posed as a military officer to carry out the crime. The complainant provided the security offers with a detailed description of the suspect and his vehicle. A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to arrest the thief

Dead in prayer: An Egyptian expatriate died while performing Fajr prayers inside his home. Security sources said the family of the deceased man called the Operations Room to report the death. In the meantime, a team of paramedics accompanied security operatives to the scene examine the body and pronounced the man dead. The remains were referred to Forensics for autopsy.
