Kuwaiti woman, GCC man caught making love in car Bangladeshi man caught bribing police lieutenant

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 30: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti woman and a male citizen from an unidentified GCC country for making love inside a car in the parking lot of a commercial complex in Hawalli, reports Al-Rai daily. A security source said a prosecutor caught the people making love and informed the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry. A police patrol rushed to the area and caught the couple in the act.

Meanwhile, a female police inspector working at the Kuwait International Airport recently foiled an attempt by an Egyptian to smuggle narcotic pills into the country, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The inspector suspected the passenger when he tried to ‘abandon’ his luggage fearing arrest. The inspector then ordered the man to open his baggage and found 400 Tramadol pills hidden inside a packet of Viagra. During interrogation the man claimed someone in Egypt requested him to take the ‘medicine’ for his relative in Kuwait.

He also said he was not aware the contraband was drug pills. The passenger and the contraband have been referred to the Criminal Investigation Department. In another development Hawalli police arrested 18 people who were wanted by law for committing various kinds of criminal offences, 15 for violating residence law and an equal number for violating labor laws, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. This came during a surprise inspection campaign. All those arrested have been referred to the concerned authorities.

Bribing police: The North Jahra Police have referred a Bangladeshi man to the Deportation Center for attempting to bribe a police lieutenant to release him, reports Al-Anba daily. The Bangladeshi was arrested for violating residence law. Meanwhile, police detectives from the Capital Governorate have arrested an unidentified bedoun for stealing a car, using it for trafficking in drugs and driving the car using different numbers plates, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. Acting on a tip-off, the detectives set a trap for the man and seized from him two kilos of hashish and 250 grams of shabu. The daily added, the man seeing police tried in vain to escape.
