A bulldozer destroys cartons filled with liquor bottles
Liquor meant for destruction ‘stolen’ 10,000 confiscated liquor bottles missing

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 30:  Around 10,000 bottles of liquor confiscated by the Ministry of Interior disappeared mysteriously, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources. Sources disclosed the missing liquor bottles are part of the contraband seized by the ministry since 2010.

Sources said the Public Prosecution started interrogations Wednesday to identify the people behind the disappearance of 1,000 boxes containing 10 liquor bottles each. Sources added the prosecution took over the investigations after receiving information that two containers out of six were found empty when the confiscated items were being transported to the disposal site along the Seventh Ring Road.

Sources pointed out the issue might put the ministry in a quagmire as this may prove negligence on the part of the concerned officials, considering the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the confiscated liquor bottles.
