Kuwaitis, Indians, Iranian perish in various mishaps

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 27: A Kuwaiti man in his 70s died during the popular heritage festival in Salmi, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The victim was a member of a committee. Initial reports show the man died a natural death. Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti man in his 20s perished in a traffic accident on the King Fahad Expressway near Um Al-Hayman, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. A police source said the victim had lost control over his vehicle, swerving and crashed into a concrete barricade. He died on the spot.

Coal kills Indian: A 25-year-old Indian driver working for a Kuwaiti family died after inhaling carbon dioxide emanating from burning charcoal, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. The victim had allegedly burned charcoal in his room to protect himself from the cold. The incident happened in the outhouse of his sponsor’s home in Mishref. The corpse of the driver has been referred to Forensics. And, police are investigating the death of an Indian man who is believed to be in his 50s. He was found dead inside his apartment housing ‘bachelors’ in Amghara, reports Al-Rai daily. A police source said the man had died five hours before police arrived. Police have not ruled out murder because there was traces of bruises the corpse.

Iranian perishes: An Iranian died following a two-vehicle collision on the Al-Ghazali Road, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the car went ablaze following the accident and the man was trapped inside. The remains have The alleged infiltrators been referred to Forensics.
