‘Tomboy’ in theft spree

 KUWAIT CITY, Jan 21: In a first incident of its kind the Ahmadi police after exerting tremendous efforts are said to have arrested a 22-year-old Kuwaiti tomboy and her 26-year-old brother for breaking into cars and stealing valuables, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. According to a security source, the arrest came following numerous complaints filed by the victims.

Police acting on a tip-off then raided the home of the suspects and seized some of the stolen items including cell phones, laptop computers and wallets. Police records show the two persons are criminals and during interrogation the tomboy admitted to breaking into five vehicles and also robbing pedestrians. She added, she also helped some youths to fall in love with some girls and collected full information on them, including what they possess where they park their cars and after keeping a track of their dating activities broke into their vehicles and stole the valuables.

Couple held with drugs: Police have arrested a bedoun and an Indonesian woman for possessing and consuming drugs, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. The couple was arrested at a police check point in Hawalli because they looked disoriented. The police then searched them and seized from them two pieces of hashish, a sachet of methamphetamine, known as ‘shabu’ in the market, and a small quantity of marijuana and a cigarette filled with hashish. The couple has been referred to the General Department for Drugs Control.
