Brother seizes father’s property: sisters Civil ID forged; bills unpaid

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 17: Three Kuwaiti women have filed a complaint with the Hawally Police Station accusing their brother of seizing the inheritance of their late father and denying them their rights, reports Al-Rai daily. According to the sisters each of them are entitled to KD 7,000 in addition to their share of their late father’s building which they say should be divided into four parts. When the police summoned the brother, he denied the accusations and instead he told the interrogator his father was indebted to some people and it is he who settled the debt. Meanwhile, the three sisters are said to have submitted a statement of account to stick to their claim. The investigation is underway.

Civil ID forged: The Salmiya police have arrested an unidentified Asian man for forging the data on his Civil ID and failing to pay telephone bills worth KD 660, reports Al-Rai daily. The arrest came after an employee of the Financial Affairs Department of a mobile telecommunications company discovered the forgery and informed the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior.
