Customs seizes 3,200 bottles of liquor at Port of Shuwaikh

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 12: Customs officers at Shuwaikh Port found 3,200 bottles of liquor in a shipment from a GCC country. The officers got suspicious of a container, so they inspected the contents thoroughly until they found the bottles of alcohol worth thousands of Kuwaiti dinars. Supervisor of the North Port Customs Unit Waleed Al- Nasser was at the site during the discovery of the contraband. A case was registered and investigations are under way to identify those who are behind the liquor smuggling operation

Kuwaiti robbed: Police are looking for three unidentified persons for breaking into the home of a Kuwaiti man in Salmiya and stealing with KD 300 from him, reports Al- Rai daily. A security source said the Kuwaiti man filed a complaint with the Salmiya Police Station. In the complaint he said he was sleeping and three men broke into his home, assaulted him and threatened to stab him. The complainant said, earlier he was involved in a dispute with one of them.
