Probe on to identify 2 policemen who allegedly raped Filipino woman

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 11: Hawalli securitymen are conducting intensive investigations to identify two policemen alleged to have abused their authority and raping a Filipino woman, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. The woman lodged a complaint with security authorities and said she was walking along a street in Salmiya when two patrolmen took her to the area police station and made her wait for some time before taking her to an apartment in Jahra where they had sex with her one after another. She said the officers repeated the atrocious act inside another apartment in Fintas before abandoning her in the street.

Meanwhile, the Director of Hawalli Security Directorate Colonel Abdulrahman Al-Suhail and his assistant Colonel Waleed Al-Fadhel have given instructions for an intensive investigation to be conducted on the incident.

Bid to molest woman: Police are looking for an Asian man who broke into the home of an Asian couple in Jahra and tried to molest the wife, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. In her complaint, the woman said her husband wasn’t there when the intruder came in and made an attempt to kiss her, but she resisted. The suspect bit her lips when he saw the husband coming and ran away.

Youth arrested with 3,000 drug pills, two guns and bullets, cash: A youth was arrested in Jahra Governorate in possession of 3,000 narcotic pills, two guns, bullets and some money. According to security sources, Jahra securitymen were patrolling the area when they suspected a vehicle and stopped it for checking. Initially, the youth interacted positively with the securitymen but he later tried in vain to escape. Securitymen arrested him and checked his vehicle to find the drugs, guns and bullets. The suspect was referred with the confiscated items to the Directorate General for Drug Control for necessary legal action against him. Meanwhile, Jahra police arrested a Kuwaiti man with criminal record for possessing 120 narcotic pills. They referred him to the concerned authorities, reports Al-Rai daily. Sources said the suspect was driving in the vicinity of Amghara scrapyard when he aroused suspicion of patrolmen on routine duty in the area. They seized drugs from the car before referring the suspect to the Drug Control General Department.
