All Labour departments resume activities after inventory Airport gears up to receive NY holiday-makers

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 5: Labor Departments of the Ministry of Social Affairs across all six governorates resumed activities on Sunday Jan 5, 2014 to receive the transactions of employers and employees of private sector, reports Alam Al-Youm daily. Earlier in Dec 23, 2013, labor transactions were suspended to pave way for the annual inventory of the sector by compiling statistics on the number of work permits issued in the year, and residencies and commercial visit visas transferred to government sector in the period, in addition to residencies renewed and violations committed by companies.

Meanwhile, Director of Operations in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Essam Al-Zamel disclosed that preparations are underway to transport passengers returning to the country after the New Year holiday, noting DGCA has allotted 19 additional flights to carry these passengers, besides 328 flights listed to transport some 63,000 passengers, reports Al-Rai daily. In a press release, Al-Zamel said a team of employees from the Operations Department was formed to help reduce congestion in the departure and arrival halls
