Citizen held for involvement in KD 25,000 financial case

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 4: A Kuwaiti man involved in a KD 25,000 financial case was arrested for betrayal of trust, reports Al-Rai daily. A security source said the suspect became jittery when he saw the police patrol. They checked his records and discovered he was wanted for renting luxury cars from rental offices without paying.

Ex-wife assaulted: Police are looking for a GCC national for breaking into the house of his Kuwait ex-wife and assaulting her for not replying to his phone calls, reports Al-Rai daily. In her complaint to police officers earlier, the woman said the incident followed a dispute between them during which she stopped picking his calls for two days consecutively.

Mechanic’s KD 500 stolen: Three individuals attacked an Egyptian mechanic in Fahaheel Industrial area and made away with KD 500, reports Al-Rai daily. The mechanic lodged a complaint with policemen and provided details of the suspects and number plate of their vehicle. A case was registered for investigation.

Absconder arrested: An individual was arrested for absconding from a two months jail term, reports Al-Rai daily. The suspect, who was spotted on the King Fahad Expressway, aroused suspicion of the police patrol when he became jittery at their sight. They discovered he was using the driving license of his brother and had been sentenced to two months in jail.
