Illegal ‘baqalas’

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 3: Securitymen and personnel from the Municipality recently conducted raids in campsite areas on make-shift grocery shops and vegetable markets. The foodstuff was found to be supplied to campers on call using motorbikes. All the items were confiscated by the raising teams.

Jahra crackdown: During a crackdown on vice and people wanted by law the Jahra police during a surprise inspection campaign in various areas of the governorate are said to have arrested three people for possessing drugs and issued 97 citations to reckless motorists, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The daily added police have also arrested 45 hawkers and handed over to the authorities

Threat to kill: An unidentified bedoun has filed a complaint with the police accusing his ‘friend’ of threatening to kill him during a fight between them, reports Al-Rai daily. The complainant has provided police details about the suspect. He will be summoned for interrogation
