Man seeking donations brandishes gun in mosque

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 3: An unidentified individual, who was performing Jumaa prayer in a mosque in Saad Al-Abdullah area, grabbed the microphone from the preacher and urged people inside the mosque to give donations for the Syrians and support them. Eyewitnesses revealed that several people in the mosque tried to take back the microphone from him but he refused to give them the microphone. He later pulled out a gun from his pocket and threatened to shoot them. He then fled from the mosque. However, sources revealed that a patrol team managed to arrest him after a long chase. Investigations revealed that the suspect was associated with one of the authorities in the country

Safe valuables stolen: A citizen of an unidentified GCC country has filed a complaint with the Sulaibiya Police Station accusing an unidentified person of breaking into his home and stealing the safe containing family passports, KD 200 and 10,000 Saudi riyals, reports Al-Rai daily. The victim said the suspect broke into the home when he was camping in the desert with his family. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the suspects
