Arab Times (Alseyassah) reporters survive tragedy

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 1: By divine intervention, three security correspondents for Al-Seyassah daily survived a traffic accident on the King Fahad Expressway after covering a traffic security campaign led by Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs Major General Abdul Fattah Al-Ali.

The accident took place at 2:30am while the reporters were coming back from the event. Munaif Nayef, Meshal Al-Sanousi, and Abdulnasser Al-Aslami were surprised when suddenly a speeding motorist driving a vanette cut in front of them from the third lane and switched to the first lane at one fell swoop, hitting their vehicle from the rear. As a result, the reporters lost control of their vehicle, swerving and smashed into a lamppost. Sources said Meshal sustained a cut in the head, while Munaif and Abdulnasser were bruised in different parts of their bodies.
