Police hunt for Iranian forger - Selling forged Portuguese passports

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 1: Police are looking for an Iranian man for selling forged Portuguese passports, reports Al-Shahed daily. The forgery was discovered when a Syrian woman with her two children arrived at the Kuwait International Airport on a tourist visa holding Portuguese passports. After the woman was whisked away for interrogation, she said she was in Iran and that she bought the passports from an Iranian in Tehran. She also said the man who sold the passports to her also came to Kuwait on the same flight. Police with the help of the Human Rights Organization has given accommodation to the woman and her children.

Murder suspect flees, held: A 22-year old Syrian inmate of Central Prison was arrested after he escaped from the prison. According to security sources, the suspect, who was earlier arrested for a murder case, stole the vehicle of the prison canteen and escaped through the main gate of the prison. When prison authorities received information about the inmate’s escape, they immediately sent a search party and he was caught near the Civil Executive Administration near the Central Prison. Primary investigations revealed that he had escaped from his cell through the A/C vent. He was referred to the concerned authorities for further investigations
