‘Kuwait Brotherhood a bunch of cowards’ Do not reappoint grill-hit ministers: Ash

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 27: MP Nabil Al-Fadhel has described the Muslim Brotherhood in Kuwait as a bunch of cowards who tried to dissociate themselves from the Brotherhood in Egypt after the group was labeled as terrorists by the Egyptian authority.

Commenting on the recent statement by Kuwait Social Reform Society (KSRS) which said the society was neither part of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt nor represented the movement, Al-Fadhel said “it seems that the most cowardly group is the Muslim Brotherhood in Kuwait, since its members hastily denied affiliation with Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood and dissociated themselves from the group at a time when Hamas is proud and honored to be part of them”.

In another development, MP Saleh Ashour has rejected any step to reshuffle or reappoint ministers against whom grilling requests have been filed, indicating their reappointment or reshuffle amounts to violation of the Constitution and bylaw. He said the ministers in question should either face interpellation filed against them or leave their posts “because we will stand against any contradictory move”, he stressed.

He called on the Prime Minister to select ministers from among the statesmen who are capable of fulfilling development. In a related development, MP Roudhan al-Roudhan said grilling request he planned against the Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Nayef Al-Hajraf does not only touch on the violations in his ministry but also implicates the minister in person.

He added “I do not target any minister personally, because filing an interpellation is not as difficult as assessing the ministry in the Audit Bureau and making observations and submitting questions or grilling, if the MP wants”. He reiterated that documents at his disposal indicted the education minister “although at the beginning I didn’t open your heart to the unconfirmed violations until facts were established, and that’s why I decided to grill the minister”.
