Two Egyptians arrested, one sought in plot sale scam Thieves armed with fierce dog rob farmhouse

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 17: Police have arrested two Egyptians and are looking for a Kuwaiti for swindling a number of citizens for selling them a plot of land in Messilah on the strength forged documents, reports Al-Rai daily. The suspects claimed they were working for a member of the ruling family and offered to sell the land for a competitive price. The fraudsters allegedly celebrated in a five-star hotel after signing the deal. A total of three people have been cheated by the suspects following which, police arrested the two Egyptians from Salmiya. The suspects have reportedly cheated the victims to the tune of KD 500,000.

Thieves sought: Police are looking for three unidentified persons for robbing a livestock pen in Kabad, reports Al-Shahed daily. Asecurity source said a complaint to this effect has been filed by the Kuwaiti owner of the pen with the Sulaibiya Police Station. According to the complainant the suspects were armed and accompanied by a ferocious looking dog. He added, fearing the dog the guard escaped from the scene. The suspects then looted the pen and escaped. The source added a similar incident had taken place a few days ago and the suspects reportedly stole KD 60 from a worker at a petrol station.

Iranian robbed: Police are looking for two unidentified persons for breaking into the shop of an Iranian man in Hawalli and stealing KD 200 cash and prepaid telephone cards worth KD 300, reports Al-Shahed daily. According to the Iranian the men were armed with knives.

4 held with drugs: The Jahra police have arrested three Kuwaitis and an Asian for consuming drugs and possessing narcotic pills and hashish, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added they were arrested while driving along a road in Kabad and were stopped by a police patrol for reckless driving.
