Rashidi ready for grilling

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 21: Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Thikra Al- Rashidi informed the government that she is fully prepared to face the interpellation submitted by MP Hamdan Al-Azmi, disclosing that her arguments will be supported by reports and documentations. The minister noted that she is confident in overcoming the interpellation despite knowing who from the MPs will stand against her, hoping that the resignation of the government does not occur before her interpellation. Meanwhile, MP Masouma Al- Mubarak demanded for ministers who are facing interpellations or noconfidence motions to seize from circulating ministry employees or any sort of internal changes.

The law maker pointed out that the minister Thikra Al-Rashidi has circulated 61 high officials in her ministry after receiving the interpellation request, asking for a logical explanation for this action. In another hand, MP Riyadh Al- Adsani announced that he has postponed the interpellation he was planning to submit against the Minister of Finance sheikh Salem Abdulaziz. MPAl-Adsani explained that this is due to the minister’s compliance in launching a broad investigation on the foreign investments of the Social Security Institution, and taking the State Audit Bureau’s reports into consideration, as well as launching a detailed legal study on the allocation procedures at the northern plant of Al-Zour.

Moreover, Three interpellations are scheduled to convene on the assembly’s upcoming session this Tuesday, 1st interpellation is submitted by both MP Abdullah Al-Tamimi and MP Faisal Al- Duesan against the Minister of Municipality, 2nd is against the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor submitted by MP Hamdan Al-Azmi, and lastly the interpellation submitted by MP Saleh Ashour against the Minister of Education and Higher Education. The session will also include the vote of no-confidence against the Minister of Development and Planning Dr.Rola Dashti, submitted by ten MPs following her interpellation on 26 of October last month.
