Egyptian expat stabs wife in family row; boys stab teen

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 20: The elevator of a residential building in Hadiya area fell, causing injuries to a pregnant Kuwaiti woman and her husband who were inside the elevator. According to security sources, a Kuwaiti woman who was in her sixth month of pregnancy and her husband took the elevator of a residential building in Hadiya area to check a flat to rent.

After passing a few floors, the elevator suddenly stopped and then it fell. The building owner immediately notified the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior after which securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location. They rescued the victims and referred the pregnant Kuwaiti woman to Adan Hospital where she was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit in serious condition. Securitymen took necessary legal action and they are carrying out investigations with the owner of the building.

Girls harassed: An unknown person disguised as a businessman is said to be harassing girls on the social networking site Instagram. The businessman in question filed a case in Dahiyat Abdullah Al-Salem police station to report the incident, and said somebody is pretending to be him. He also said the person has been harassing girls on Instagram. A case was registered for investigation to arrest the suspect.

Teen stabbed: The Sabah Al-Salem police are looking for two juveniles for stabbing with a knife a neighboring teenager in the shoulder, reports Al- Rai daily. According to security sources the victim was stabbed with a knife. It is not known why the suspects stabbed the victim. However, a complaint has been filed with the area police station. The victim has been admitted to the Adan Hospital.

Expat stabs wife: Police are looking for an unidentified Egyptian expatriate for stabbing his wife in the stomach over family problems, reports Al- Kuwaitiah daily. According to security sources acting on information police and paramedics rushed to the spot and took the woman to a hospital.
