Egyptian employee arrested for stealing phones

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 18: The Salmiya police have arrested an Egyptian employee of a company for stealing smart phones, reports Al-Rai daily. A security source said the arrest came following a complaint filed by the manager of the company. The complaint was filed after discovering the theft of phones from the company store. After reviewing the CCTV footage police launched intensive investigation and during interrogation the suspect broke down and admitted to committing the theft. It has been reported the suspect was terminated from the company a few days ago. In his defense the Egyptian said he stole the phones because the company had refused to pay him end of service indemnity

Man swindled: Police are looking for a Syrian man for swindling a Kuwaiti man, reports Al-Shahed daily. The victim is believed to be in his 50s and the suspect lured him to open a business in partnership to import goods from China. After the Kuwaiti invested KD 50,000, the suspect disappeared with the money. A case has been filed at the Maidan Hawalli Police Station
