Some of those arrested expats being taken for deportation
140 expats deported out of 240 held last week in Jleeb swoop

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 14: Some 420 people were arrested in sudden security campaigns conducted by officers from the General Immigration Investigations Department 10 days ago in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. The campaign was headed by Interior Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary of Citizenship and Passport Affairs Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Sabah, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The daily quoting a source said 140 of the expatriates arrested have since been deported, and 90 amended their status. He also said 4 of them wanted by law were referred to the Criminal Investigation Department, and the sponsors of 186 detainees will be summoned for questioning.
