Indian shows guard knife, runs with safe

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 9: Indian flees with safe: Police are looking for an unidentified Indian for breaking into the apartment of a compatriot woman in Salmiya and stealing the safe containing valuables and money, reports Al-Shahed daily. According to a complainant filed with the Salmiya Police Station, the suspect was armed with a knife and he threatened to stab the guard of the building on his way out. The complainant has provided police details about the suspect.

3 hurt in attack: Police are looking for unidentified persons for breaking into the Diwaniya and assaulting the Kuwaiti, his son and a family friend. The incident happened in Al-Qurain, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to security sources the suspects were armed with batons and knives. The family friend has been admitted to the intensive care unit of a hospital with serious injuries.

Forgery claim filed: A Kuwaiti family has filed a complaint with the concerned authorities accusing one of the family members of forgery, reports Al- Shahed daily. The son allegedly taking advantage of his elderly mother, made a contract in her name, took her fingerprints and sold a plot of land which was worth KD 3 million. However, when the son was summoned for interrogation, he claimed the mother sold the land of her own free will. The mother is expected to be summoned for interrogation.

Cash till emptied: Police are looking for unidentified persons for breaking into a popular market and stealing KD 1,250 from the cash machine, reports Al-Anba daily. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.

Smuggling bid foiled: Customs officers at the Kuwait International Airport have foiled an attempt by an Egyptian passenger to smuggle hashish into the country, reports Al-Shahed daily. According to security sources, the officers found in the bald man’s baggage packs of hair gel and on suspicion referred the baggage for a thorough check. The officers found hashish hidden at the bottom of the gel. The contraband and the suspect have been referred to the General Department for Drugs Control.
