3 hospitalized in Egyptian, Pakistani gang fight

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 6: Three Egyptians sustained serious injuries during a quarrel between two groups of men in Fahaheel Industrial Area. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information from a Kuwaiti citizen about a quarrel between a group of Pakistani men and a group of Egyptian men, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location. Paramedics referred the three injured Egyptians to Adan Hospital for treatment while securitymen arrested four suspects and referred them to the police station of the area for further investigations. Necessary action was taken against the suspects. Meanwhile, two men — an employee of the Egyptian Consulate and a bedoun — have been referred to Rawdah Police Station for fighting with each other. Both men are injured and they have submitted separate medical reports showing injuries.

2 held with drugs: Two Egyptian expatriates were arrested in Maidan Hawally in possession of narcotic pills and pieces of hashish. According to security sources, when securitymen were patrolling Maidan Hawally at night, they noticed two individuals walking and one of them holding a small bag. When they noticed the patrol vehicle, they tried to hide. Securitymen stopped them and checked their Civil IDs to discover they are Egyptian nationals. Sensing their nervousness, securitymen checked the bag and found narcotic pills and pieces of hashish. They arrested them and questioned them to discover the suspects were planning to sell the items to their clients. The suspects were referred with the items to the Directorate General for Drug Control for further investigations.
