Stabbing attempted in flee bid Two caught on stolen car

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 5: A Kuwaiti citizen in his 30s and an Egyptian expatriate were arrested in Khaitan area for driving a stolen vehicle and attempting to stab a patrol officer, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to security sources, while Farwaniya securitymen were patrolling Khaitan area, they noticed a vehicle parked on the side of the road with two individuals sitting inside the vehicle. When securitymen approached the vehicle and asked the driver for his Civil ID, he fled from the location. Securitymen chased him and requested for backup support from other patrol teams after which the patrol teams immediately covered the exits of the area.

At one of the exits, the suspect’s vehicle collided with a patrol vehicle. He immediately jumped out of his vehicle and ran away but the officers chased and caught him. While trying to arrest him, he pulled out a knife from his pocket and tried to stab one of the patrol officers. However, they managed to control him and checked his Civil ID to discover he is a Kuwaiti citizen. An Egyptian expatriate, who was in the citizen’s vehicle, was also arrested. When securitymen checked the details of the vehicle, they discovered that it was reported as stolen. Both suspects were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.
