Kuwait Banks Club League in full swing TACK continues to shine as the face of domestic cricket in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 4: On Nov 15, TACK successfully managed to envisage and execute the biggest cricket event in Kuwait’s history in the form of TACK-IIK 4 Nations Tournament. With this accomplishment, TACK has firmly cemented its place as the premier cricket body in Kuwait. In accordance with TACK’s vision to advance the game of Cricket in Kuwait by providing the best facilities to play competitive cricket, TACK has organized a cricket league in collaboration with Kuwait Banks Club. The KBC league consists of 8 leading banks in Kuwait who are divided into two groups of A and B. Kuwait Finance House, Gulf Bank, Ahli United Bank and Kuwait Investment Bank are placed in Group A while Group B comprises of National Bank of Kuwait, Boubyan Bank, Burgan Bank and Al-Ahli Bank of Kuwait. After extremely close and nail-biting group matches over the past few weeks, four teams have managed to come out on top and compete in the semi-finals to be played on Saturday, Dec 7.

The first semi-final will be played between Ahli United Bank and Boubyan Bank while the second semi-final will see National Bank of Kuwait and Kuwait Finance House fight it out for a spot in the finals. The TACK-KBC Bank League is being played at TACK Entertainment City Cricket Ground located in Doha with lush green outfield and international standard floodlights. It is the only one of its kind cricket facility in Kuwait with breathtaking views surrounding the ground. So come out with your friends and family on Dec 7 for a fun day out watching cricket and support your bank.

Kuwait Banks Club (KBC) was founded in 1990 with the aim of rejuvenating and reviving workers in the banking sector from the fatigue of work by establishing sports championships and participation in sports activities at the local level to bring together workers and their families on the same platform. Mahmoud Bastaki, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at KBC judiciously foresaw the likeness of KBC and TACK’s aims ie to serve the local community by creating social recreational events. Consequently, Bastaki was instrumental in successfully organizing the event.
