Asian commits suicide as another dies in mine blast Young Arab woman attempts to kill herself

 KUWAIT CITY, Dec 4: An Egyptian filed a complaint at Nugra Police Station against the son of a famous businessman and two Kuwaitis who allegedly kidnapped him and forced him to sign a document for the amount KD3,400. According to the complainant, he was surprised when a vehicle stopped beside him while he was walking in an undisclosed location. The son of a famous businessman, along with two Kuwaitis, got out of the car, beat him and pushed him into the vehicle. They then took him to an office in Maidan Hawally where they forced him to sign a green paper for the amount of KD3,400 and asked him to put his thumb marks. Preliminary investigations revealed the complainant had a dispute with the accused. The case was referred to the Public Prosecution for the necessary action.

Pakistani killed: A live landmine exploded in Khabari Al-Awazem area located in the north of Kuwait, resulting in the death of a Pakistani expatriate and serious injury to an Egyptian national. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the explosion, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location to discover that a landmine planted during the Iraqi invasion had exploded. A Pakistani expatriate had died and his corpse was referred to the Forensics Department. An Egyptian national sustained serious injuries and he was referred to Jahra Hospital for treatment. A case was registered and investigations in this regard are ongoing.

 Asian kills self: An Asian man allegedly ended his life by hanging himself with a rope at the company quarters in Mahboula, reports Al- Anba daily. When police received the information, paramedics and personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department rushed to the spot and found the man dangling from a rope around his neck. The corpse has been referred to Forensics. Police are investigating to know why the man ended his life.

 Woman attempts suicide: An unidentified Arab woman in her 20s was rushed to a hospital in critical condition and given stomach was when she attempted to commit suicide by consuming a large quantity of medicine inside her home in Sulaibikhat, reports Al-Rai daily. The woman will be referred for interrogation after she is discharged from the hospital. A case of attempted suicide has been registered against her.

Drug peddler held: A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested for trafficking in drugs and security operatives seized 2kg of marijuana he had smuggled from an unspecified Asian country. Apparently, the Drug Control General Department received a tip-off about the drug peddling activities of the suspect and took necessary step to nail him, in coordination with relevant authorities. Security sources said the suspect hid narcotics inside home appliances via air cargo, and it was the fourth time was smuggling drug into the country. He named another citizen as his accomplice and confessed supplying the contraband to him. The suspect with the item was referred to Drug Prosecution.

‘Pills found with duo: The Jahra police have arrested two young men (a Kuwaiti and a Saudi) for possessing narcotic pills, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources the suspects were arrested on suspicion at late evening hour.
