KD 100,000 housing loan increase gets ‘approval’ Bank waiting for assembly vote

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 1: State Minister for Housing Affairs, the Minister of Municipal Affairs Engineer Salem Al- Othaina stated the board of director of Credit and Savings Bank has approved the proposal to increase housing loan to KD 100,000. He added the bank is only waiting for the assembly to vote on the proposal and approve it, reports Al-Anba daily. He also said the bank will start paying the new housing loan to interested citizens if the increment is approved by the assembly.

Meanwhile, the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR), Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW), Kuwait Municipality and Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) recently discussed the proposed allocation of land for livestock pens, reports Al-Rai daily quoting PAAAFR Chairperson Eng Jassem Al-Bader.

During the meeting, representatives from the aforementioned institutions agreed to allot lots for livestock pens in Kabad and Sulaibiya due to the availability of required services near these areas. Al-Bader revealed the authority will distribute nearly a thousand livestock pens for animal breeders once the recommendation is approved. He said the PAAAFR is trying its best to convince the concerned authorities to push for the implementation of the proposal. In other news, Al-Bader recently received at his office the Ukrainian Ambassador to Kuwait, reports Al-Rai daily.

During the meeting, Al-Bader discussed with the Ambassador the agricultural issues and mutual interests of the two countries, Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Ambassador praised the efforts of PAAAFR in improving the agricultural sector through the use of science and agricultural technology to make more achievements. He hopes to see stronger coordination between the two countries since both of them have been searching for appropriate mechanisms to benefit from the Ukrainian experience in the agriculture field by training the national manpower, exchanging experiences in the use of advanced agricultural technology and information in different agricultural fields.
