KUWAIT CITY, March 22: An Asian expatriate was arrested recently at Kuwait International Airport for attempting to smuggle 20 kilograms of marijuana into the country. Reportedly, when the customs officers at the airport suspected an Asian expatriate and checked his luggage to find 20 kilograms of marijuana hidden among his clothes. The suspect was arrested and referred with the items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him. Director General of Customs Department Ibrahim Al-Ghanim appreciated the efforts taken by the customs officers to thwart such attempts to smuggle illicit items into the country.
