Contractor’s men carry away copper, iron with own goods Asian couple held in liquor peddling

KUWAIT CITY, March 21: The director of Al-Shuaiba Power Station, which is affiliated to the Ministry of Electricity and Water, has filed a complaint at Abdullah Port Police Station against the owner of an undisclosed company because some of his laborers allegedly stole some items and equipment from the station, reports Al-Nahar daily.
The complainant told police the ministry had signed a contract with the company to purchase scrap materials from the station, but while the laborers were taking the purchased items, they also took iron and copper owned by the ministry.
A case was registered and the owner of the company will be summoned soon for questioning to verify the complaint.

Copper cable stolen
: Police are looking for unidentified persons for stealing 3,000 meters long copper cable from the Al-Subbiya Road project, reports Annahar daily.
The theft was discovered by an Egyptian contractor while on a visit to the project.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.

Couple arrested
: The Farwaniya police acting on information have taken into custody an unidentified Asian couple for bootlegging, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
According to security sources police have seized from the couple 4 bottles of alcohol ready for sale in addition to raw material and alcohol manufacturing equipment.
