Drugs suspected in bags dumped Man threatens to kill wife
KUWAIT CITY, March 20: Police are looking for two unidentified persons for attempting to kidnap a Coast Guard man and setting fire to the boat in which they were sailing, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A security source said this happened when the Coast Guard patrol boat suspected two men off the Kubbar Island.
One of the Coast Guard man got into the boat of the suspects to check their IDs. As soon as he stepped into the boat, the suspects started the engine and sped off with the Coast Guard man, and the latter jumped off the boat and into the sea. He was later picked by his colleagues.
It has been reported the suspects rushed to the Fintas beach, set fire to their boat and escaped on foot. The daily also said while escaping from the patrol boat the men threw some bags into the sea. Sources say the bags may have contained drugs.
Wife threatened: A 40-year-old Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the Khaitan Police Station accusing her Iraqi husband of insulting her in public and inside a bank in Hawalli and also threatening to kill her, reports Annahar daily.
The husband will be summoned for interrogation.
