A Steinway Artist, Dr Stephanie Cheng joined the faculty of The Department of Music and Drama at AUK in September 2012 from New York. She will present a solo piano concert today at 7 pm in the AUK Auditorium, Salmiya Campus, Salem Mubarak Street. A variety of works by Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Liszt, etc and most beloved tunes, such as “My Favorite Things” from The Sound of Music will be included. The concert is free and open to the public.
Dr Cheng has performed extensively in the US, France, Italy, Japan, and Taiwan to great critical acclaim. Her solo and collaborative engagements have brought her to many of the world’s major music settings including Carnegie Hall in New York, National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, National Concert Hall of Taipei, and Opera City Hall of Tokyo.
