Kidnap bid foiled

KUWAIT CITY, March 19: The father of two unidentified boys has filed a complaint with the Saad Al-Abdullah Police Station accusing a citizen man of attempting to kidnap his sons, reports Al-Rai daily.

The father in his complaint to the police said the neighbor offered the boys KD 60 to go with him and when they refused he raised the figure to KD 100.

When the boys again refused and ran away he attempted to kidnap them.
 

Jordanian in suicide bid: An unidentified Jordanian man who attempted to end his life by consuming a large dose of medicine was rushed to the Farwaniya Hospital and given stomach wash, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily added the victim’s sister called the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior when she saw her brother unconscious on the floor of her home.
Medical Rescue men rushed to the spot and took the man to the hospital.
The investigations are underway to determine why the man wanted to end his life.
Meanwhile, an unidentified 20-year-old youth who attempted to end his life by slitting his wrist has been admitted to a hospital, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The incident happened in a suburb of Al-Qosour in the Mubarak Al-Kabir Governorate.
The daily added when the youth heard the siren of a police car he attempted to escape but he was chased and arrested and taken to the hospital. A case of attempted suicide has been registered against the man.
