Lankan expat hangs himself to death at workplace Kuwaiti rains bullets on compatriot’s car
KUWAIT CITY, March 19: A Sri Lankan expatriate committed suicide inside a company in Sulaibiya where he worked.
According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the incident, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location and found the expatriate hanging from the ceiling by a rope around his neck.
After pulling him down, they examined him and discovered that he had died. His corpse was referred to the Forensics Department and a case was registered to determine the cause of his suicide.
Riddled with bullets: A Kuwaiti citizen working with the Coast Guard filed a case against another, accusing the latter of shooting at his vehicle which was parked outside his house in Qurain.
He informed securitymen that there were some disputes between them. He explained that when he approached his vehicle, he was shocked to find it damaged due to gunshots.
Securitymen noted the details of the suspect and carried out investigations to confirm that the suspect carried out the shooting. Steps were taken to arrest the suspect.
Handbag snatched: Two unknown individuals snatched the handbag of an Asian woman while she was walking to her apartment in Jahra.
After the incident, she rushed to the police station and filed a case against the suspects.
She informed securitymen that the suspects were in a white vehicle when they slowed down next to her and snatched her handbag after which they fled from the location.
She revealed that her handbag contained cash of KD 2,900.
Securitymen noted the details of the vehicle, using which investigations are ongoing to arrest the suspects.
