KUWAIT CITY, March 18: Police have arrested a young Egyptian man and an Indonesian housemaid for giving birth to an illegitimate baby, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources a Kuwaiti man saw the Egyptian moving suspiciously in front of the house of a neighbor and called the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior.
When police rushed to the spot, the suspect tried in vain to escape. He was taken to a police station and during interrogation he admitted to having an affair with the maid.
He also told police he has a seven-month baby from the Indonesian. He added, the baby was being taken care of by an unidentified Egyptian woman. He also said he has planned to marry the maid.
When the maid was summoned for interrogation, she admitted to giving birth to the baby when her sponsor family was abroad.
The two lovers have been referred to the authorities. The Egyptian woman will be summoned for interrogation.
